Engaging in the Promotion of PeaceThe Interreligious Council of the Philippines advocates the Enactment of an Enhanced Meaningful Bangsamoro Basic Law, City of Manila, Philippines            The Interreligious Council of the Philippines convened in a conference on Interreligious Dialogue with the theme “Multi-Religious Leaders’ Action and Solidarity for Peace in Mindanao” at the Ramon Magsayay Award Foundation Hall, City of Manila, Philippines on September 21, 2015. Annual Report: Bangladesh 2015-2016

General review of all the programs, projects and activities carried out throughout 2015
 
ACRP Bangladesh is composed of the People of different faiths, viz., Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Baha’ism. Though this country is known as a role model for interfaith understanding, at times, there are conflicts between and among the people of different faiths. ACRP Bangladesh plays a vital role in resolving these conflicts. ACRP holds seminars on Interfaith Understanding and arranges Interfaith Harmony Rally on Feb. 1st and May 25th every year. ACRP Bangladesh play and active role in the Universal Peace Prayer held on the 1st December for the last 23 years. The ACRP Bangladesh is composed of many internationally reputed interfaith activists. They all contribute in translating the dream into reality with which ACRP was born. Very often they attend international interfaith program and share their experiences with other members.

Religions for Peace Pakistan Chapter Report 2015-2016

             Pakistan Chapter is a torch-bearer of peace and religious harmony. It has tried its level best to bring the followers of different faiths together. In this connection, it has convened inter-faith conferences in different cities of Pakistan which were attended by the followers of different faiths. It has formed a coalition with the Peace Council of Pakistan of which Mr. Nawaz Khan Marwat, the President of Religions for Peace Pakistan is al the Chief Patron.

Over the past year, China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP) upheld its principles, took account of its own characteristics, abided by the purposes and guidelines of Asian Conference of Religions for Peace (ACRP), united Chinese believers and cooperated with religious organizations, in order to maintain good inter-faith relations and contribute to inter-faith dialogue and a harmonious society.

World Conference of Religions for Peace/India National Chapter Report (2015-2016)

India is a founder member of WCRP and ACRP. The source of our interest and commitment in multi-religious approach to finding solution to human problems springs from the age-old traditions and belief in “Sarva Dharma Smabhava” (Equal respect for all religions) – an ancient Hindu principle going back to the Vedic times. “Unity in Diversity” is India’s national creed. “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma” (Nonviolence is the Ultimate Righteousness) is yet another ancient exhortation, still reverberating and echoing the ethos of India. Respecting and upholding these civilizational values, our secular, democratic Constitution guarantees equal right to all religions. So, believers of all the world religions live together in India from ancient times to the present in relative harmony and flourish and progress without hitch or hindrance.
