Religions for Peace (RfP) Asia and the Pacific Interfaith Youth Network (APIYN) are pleased to announce that we are inviting applicants for APIYN Jumpstart Program.
WHAT IS APIYN JUMPSTART PROGRAM?
Religions for Peace (RfP) Asia and the Pacific Interfaith Youth Network (APIYN) aimed at empowering youth leaders and national chapters in the Asia and Pacific region. The program provides funding and training opportunities to kickstart community projects and initiatives that promote peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and interfaith dialogue.
WHY SHOULD I APPLY FOR THE APIYN JUMPSTART PROGRAM?
You should consider applying for the APIYN JumpStart Program for several compelling reasons:
1. Funding Support:
If you are selected, you will receive a grant of 250 USD to implement a community project or low-cost initiative. This financial support can help turn your ideas into reality.
2. Training and Mentorship:
The program includes training sessions conducted by APIYN Officers in areas such as peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and interfaith dialogue. You will receive guidance on designing and implementing projects.
3. Network Building:
Participation in this program will allow you to connect with like-minded youth leaders from different national chapters, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
4. Equity and Opportunity:
The program seeks to ensure equitable distribution of funding throughout APIYN, giving all national networks the opportunity to implement at least one project between youth camps.
5. Skill Development:
You will gain valuable skills in project management, leadership, and interfaith dialogue that will benefit both your personal development and your community.
If you are selected for the APIYN JumpStart Program, you will be expected to:
1. Participate in Training:
Attend the online training sessions conducted by APIYN Officers. These sessions will cover topics related to peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and interfaith dialogue.
2. Project Development:
Work on developing your own community project or low-cost initiative with the guidance of APIYN Officers. You will have a budget of 250 USD to implement your project.
3. Project Implementation:
After the training, implement the project in your community or region. Put into practice what you have learned during the training.
4. Reporting:
Submit a report on the implementation of your project to APIYN Officers for evaluation.
5. Presentation:
If your project is successful, you will have the opportunity to present it during the Youth Peace Camp or other relevant events within RfP APIYN and other affiliated networks/programs..

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the APIYN JumpStart Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be an active member of an APIYN national chapter in the Asia and Pacific region.
2. Demonstrate a commitment to peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and interfaith dialogue.
3. Have a clear project idea that aligns with RfP Asia and APIYN’s strategic goals

c) NURTURE A SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT
d) CHAMPION FREEDOM OF THOUGHT, CONSCIENCE & RELIGION
e) STRENGTHEN INTERRELIGIOUS EDUCATION
f) FOSTER MULTI-RELIGIOUS COLLABORATION & GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
4. Be able to participate in the online training sessions and commit to implementing the project.
Please note that this program is designed to promote inclusivity and equity within APIYN, so we encourage all eligible members to apply, regardless of their prior experience or background.
