Annual Conference, Boao Forum for Asia Held
On the morning of April 22, the Sub-Forum on “Dialogue of Religious Leaders” themed “Thousands Reflections of the Same Moon, Mutual Appreciation of the Diversified Beauties–Civilizations Flourishing through Exchanges and Communication” of the 2022 annual conference, Boao Forum for Asia was held in Boao Town, Hainan Province,China.
During the Conference, three Chinese guests including Imam Yang Faming, Vice President of China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP), President of China Islamic Association, Ven. Yinshun , Leader of CCRP Youth Group, Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China, President of the Buddhist Association of Hainan Province, and Prof. Chen Lai, President of the China Association of History of Chinese Philosophy and Dean of the Tsinghua Academy of Chinese Learning, engaged in in-depth dialogue on exchanges, mutual learning and peaceful coexistence among different religions and civilizations.
Due to the pandemic, foreign speakers, Including Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the World Muslim Communities Council, and First Chairman of the International Steering Board of Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism, Most Rev. Archbishop Kim Hee-joong, Co-President of Korean Conference of Religions for Peace (KCRP), President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea (CBCK)), and Luigi De Salvia, Co-President of Religions for Peace Europe, President of Religions for Peace Italy, delivered video remarks, willing to contribute their wisdom and strength to promoting interfaith and intercultural exchanges, mutual learning, and peaceful coexistence.
The Sub-Forum was jointly hosted by China Religious Culture Communication Association (CRCCA) and CCRP, organized by the Buddhist Association of Hainan Province, and co-organized by China Islamic Association.
