Religions for Peace International, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the German Federal Foreign Office, and the Berlin Institute for Population and Development would like to invite you to the launch of the report “The Role of Religious Actors in Population Dynamics: Insights from the African Dialogues on Faith and Demography.”
The virtual launch event will take place on Thursday, 5 December 2024 from 4:00–5:30pm Nairobi Time / 3:00–4:30pm Johannesburg / 1:00–2:30pm Accra (for your local time, please click here). English – French interpretation will be provided.
During this event, we will share why religious actors from different faith backgrounds across Africa should be considered key partners in efforts to promote gender equality, advance the demographic transition, and achieve sustainable development. The new report on the two-year “African Dialogues on Faith and Demography” describes how religious leaders and organisations can, for example, improve sexual and reproductive health, promote girls’ education, and empower young people.
Do not miss this important opportunity to hear more about the value of engaging multi-religious actors in programmes and initiatives to advance gender equality, the demographic transition, and sustainable development.
