International Seminar on
Interfaith Exchanges and Building Shared Future
for Mankind Held in Beijing
On December 11th, 2019, an international seminar on Interfaith Exchanges and Building Shared Future for Mankind was held in Beijing by China Committee on Religion and Peace (CCRP), and more than 30 religious leaders, scholars from ACRP leadership and China, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka discussed on Religion and Ecological Civilization, Cultural Values of Religion, and Religion and Social Harmony in the seminar. Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and President of CCRP, Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai gave a written speech. Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the CPPCC, Mr.Xia Baolong, met all participants. CCRP Executive Vice President, Mr.Deng Zongliang chaired the meeting.CCRP Vice Presidents, Ven. Yanjue, Ven. Li Guangfu, Imam Yang Faming, Rev. Fang Xingyao, Rev. Ma Yinglin, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, Rev. Wu Wei, Ven. Zhang Fenglin, Mr.Ma Zhongping, Deputy SGs of CCRP, Ven. Puzheng, Ven. Huang Xinyang, Mr.Adilijiang Ajikelim, Rev.Shenbin, Mr.Gu Mengfei delivered speeches during the seminar.
Prof. Cahill, the Deputy moderator of ACRP and President of RfP Australia, pointed out that, all major religions in the world have thoughts about peace and harmony with nature, and should make joint efforts for common development. Dr.Nemoto, SG of ACRP, Mrs. Pascale Frémond, President of RfP Canada, Mr. Sukomal Barua, President of RfP Bangladesh, and other foreign guests shared experiences of different counties to deal with global challenges.
Mr.Deng Zongliang concluded that the principles of open mind and mutual respect should be observed when conducting interfaith exchanges and building a community with a shared future for mankind. We should work according to our own situation and the times to facilitate social harmony and solidarity.
