RfP Malaysia was established in 2006. Throughout the past 13 years, RfP Malaysia has been adhered to the belief and mission of inheriting, promoting and developing Malaysia’s remarkable tradition of having diverse religions and cultures. Malaysia is an incredibly diverse country that accommodates a rich variety of beliefs and cultures. This characteristic has been a manifestation of collective consciousness and national soul of all ethnic groups in Malaysia, playing a role not only in areas related to religion and culture, but has also caused a direct impact on all aspects in life including economics, politics and others. In fact, faith and culture are the basis of what determines the existence and development of a country and nation.
The vitality of faith and culture depends greatly on the communication, absorption, collision and integration with other beliefs and cultures. Therefore, people with different beliefs and cultures should tolerate, respect and learn from each other, and grow together. Multi-faith and multiculturalism are the foundation for improving national self-esteem, the basis for building a good national psychology, the spiritual resource for enhancing the country’s comprehensive strength, and the important source of thought for promoting global integration.
“Building an ecological civilization is a sustainable development goal for all ethnic groups in Malaysia.” Ecological civilization emphasizes on the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Therefore, the excellent traditional beliefs and culture have firmly established the concept of respecting, adapting and protecting the nature, incorporating the idea of ecological civilization into every aspect of economic, political, cultural and social progress, which have in turn laid the foundation of harmony between man and nature, and have accelerated the process of social development and ecological civilization. The ultimate goal is to build a harmonious, prosperous and progressive society.
Multi-faith and Multiculturalism are The Foundation of a Harmonious Society
Multi-faith and multiculturalism are the blood of the nation, the spiritual home of the people, as well as the foundation of a harmonious society.
For this reason, Malaysian Faith and Culture Interaction Association was established in 2006 and after continuous evolution and development, it was registered in 2015. Throughout the past 12 years, the association has been adhered to the belief and mission of inheriting, promoting and developing Malaysia’s remarkable tradition of having diverse religions and cultures.
