Ms. Hiroyo MURAYAMA (Japan, Buddhist)
After graduating from high school in Japan, she moved to the U.S. She graduated cum laude from University of Houston in Fall 2007 with Bachelor of Fine Arts.
After moving back to Japan, she has worked for International Interreligious Dialogue and Cooperation at External Affairs Group at Rissho Kosei-kai, the lay Buddhist organization, from November 2008 to November 2014.
From December 2014 to November 2024, she had worked at the Japanese secretariat office of Religions for Peace, the world’s largest and most representative multi-religious coalition. She had been active in interfaith activities and dialogue, as a Media and Communication Specialist and as a Program Coordinator for Women’s Committee, international relations, ban nuclear weapons, and refugees.
From December 2024, she began her role at the Secretariat Tokyo Office of Religions for Peace Asia as a Director of Program Management.
